TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE XM LIMASSOL MARATHON - 21 & 22 MARCH

Tomorrow, Saturday 21/03/2026 at 9am, the 5km Marathon (Corporate, Children) will take place in Limassol, where the start will be given from the Embankment at 9am, with the participation of over 10,000 runners, who will follow the route of 28th October east to the intersection with Griva Digeni Street (CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL) and then west to the starting point. Both traffic lanes will be used. The cuts will be made by police officers and traffic wardens of the Limassol Municipality.
From 8am until 12 noon, the coastal road from the intersection of Spyrou Araouzou – Anexartisias streets to the intersection of the traffic lights of 28th October – Griva Digeni (CROWNE PLAZA HOTWL) will be closed to traffic police.

On Sunday 22/03/2026 at 7.15am, the Limassol Marathon will take place with the participation of over 5000 runners.
The start will be given in the Epichos area, heading west on the coastal road towards Fr. Roosevelt, from the New Port roundabout through the parallel road of New Port to the ‘‘Lady's Mile’’ roundabout, the vertical road in front of the ‘‘My Mall’’ department store, reaching the Fr. Roosevelt roundabout, continues west towards the village of Asomatos until the junction with the entrance to the ‘‘Water park’’, where a U-turn is made and follows the same route through the coastal road, until just before the traffic lights at the junction of Amathountos Avenue and Ag. Saranda Street near the ‘‘Elias Hotel’’, where a U-turn is made with the finish again at the Embankment.
Between the hours of 6.15am- 2pm, the entire coastal front above will be closed to traffic. The roads will be opened to traffic gradually depending on the course of the athletes.
Drivers are urged to be particularly careful, to follow traffic signs, Police instructions and traffic detours.
