An effort is being made to improve the sending of early warning messages to citizens in cooperation with telecommunications providers, competent sources said on Wednesday.
The test sending of messages tonight was another measure that is being tried to be implemented, it was noted. "We have tried it, obviously there will be technical difficulties and we will solve them," he said, adding that the time parameter is essential for sending such messages.
An SMS message of such magnitude has never been sent before, it was pointed out.
"People must understand that these are tests that must be done in order to be able to find the technical solutions to the extent that we can improve it (the measure in question) without removing other methods we follow," the same sources stressed.
At the same time, they said that the Early Warning System is progressing normally, adding that the timetable set for its implementation is June 2026.
