FORD RECALLS 615,000 VEHICLES IN THE USA - Filenews 9/3

Announcements by car manufacturers about the withdrawal of thousands of their cars became very frequent, after some technical problems were found, sometimes important, sometimes insignificant.

Such news was published on Thursday in Reuters and states that the US National Road Safety Administration is recalling 604.533 vehicles in the US because the wiper engine may fail, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of collision.  The recall includes certain 2020-2022 Explorer, Escape, Lincoln Aviator, and Lincoln Corsair vehicles.

Ford is also recalling 11,431 vehicles in the U.S., as friction welding of the driveshaft may fail, resulting in a separation of the rear driveshaft and a sudden loss of power.
