Following the developments taking place in the wider region of the Eastern Mediterranean and taking into account the ongoing military conflicts in neighbouring countries of the Republic, it is necessary to take preventive measures to ensure public safety, social tranquility and the psychological well-being of citizens.
The Mines and Quarries Service, with the consent of the General Directorate of Environment of the Ministry, decided to temporarily suspend the granting of licenses for the purchase, transport and use of fireworks until the issuance of a new relevant announcement.
Compliance with this Directive is considered essential to maintain citizens' sense of security and a sign of respect for society as a whole.
