Weak high pressure prevails in the area, however low pressure from the south is expected to affect the island on Saturday. Thin dust will be observed in the atmosphere, the concentrations of which may be increased from time to time from Friday.

Today the weather will initially be mostly clear, however after noon increased clouds are expected, mainly in the mountains and in the southwest. Winds will blow northeast to east light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea in the west will be a little rough and on the rest of the coast a little rough to rough. The temperature will rise to around 20 degrees inland, around 22 on the coast and around 10 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight the weather will be mostly clear. Winds will be mainly north to northeast light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily locally moderate, 4 Beaufort. The sea in the west and south will be a little rough and on the rest of the coast a little rough to rough. The temperature will drop to around 6 degrees inland, around 10 on the coast and around 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form locally.

On Friday, increased high clouds will appear, however clouds that will gradually develop may give isolated light rains in the afternoon, especially in the mountains but also in areas south of Troodos.

On Saturday the weather will be cloudy with local rains and isolated thunderstorms. On Sunday, increased clouds mainly after noon, are expected to give isolated rains or even a storm, mainly in the mountains and in the eastern half of the island.

The temperature is not expected to change significantly on Friday, while on Saturday it is expected to drop, to fluctuate close to the average climatic values. On Sunday, the temperature will rise slightly.
