DEPARTMENT OF FORESTS - THE ATHALASTA ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION & EDUCATION CENTRE IS CLOSED FOR PRESERVATION AND REDUCTION OF FOOT AND MOUTH -  Filenews 6/3

1. The Department of Forests of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment informs the public that the Athalasta Environmental Information and Education Center will remain closed to the public as a precaution, for the purpose of safeguarding animal health and limiting the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.

2. It is noted that the environmental educational programs implemented in this area by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth will continue to be carried out normally in alternative fields of study.

3. The educational staff of the Center will make relevant consultations with the schools before the programs are conducted.
