DEAD DOLPHIN ON FAROS BEACH, PAPHOS - Filenews 20/3
A dead dolphin was found early in the morning by citizens who were taking their walk and morning exercise on the coastal pedestrian street of Faros in Kato Paphos.
At a point on the beach, they found the dolphin stranded on the beach, as a result of which they immediately informed the Police and the Fisheries Department. Officials of the two services rushed to the place, with the officials of the Fisheries Department taking samples from the dead dolphin for laboratory analyses in order to demonstrate the causes of its death.
After the on-site completion of the sampling and examinations of the Police, the dolphin was removed from the shore in order to be transported to a suitable place provided by the protocols for similar cases.
