CONSUMER SERVICE - PANCYPRIAN CAMPAIGN TO CONTROL CHILDREN'S TOYS AHEAD OF EASTER - OVER 115 PREMISES UNDER THE MICROSCOPE - Filenews 30/3
In view of the Easter holidays and with the aim of strengthening the safety of consumers, especially children, the Consumer Protection Service is proceeding with a nationwide campaign to control children's toys.
The campaign will last until Easter and is expected to cover more than 115 properties throughout Cyprus. The aim is to identify and withdraw dangerous or non-compliant children's toys from the market to ensure a high level of protection for young consumers. At the same time, as part of the campaign, information will be provided to economic operators about their obligations and the security standards in place.
At the same time, the Service continues its efforts to inform consumers, with the aim of more effectively protecting their health and safety. As part of the campaign, an information leaflet entitled "Tips for Easter" has been prepared and posted on the Service's website. The brochure provides useful tips for preventing accidents that often occur during the festive season. Furthermore, it is recalled that there is posted on the website of the Service the information leaflet entitled "Dangers from small objects", which provides guidance to parents for the control of small objects in the environment of children up to three years old, with the aim of removing them and preventing risks.
