CLOUDY WEATHER WITH DUST IN THE ATMOSPHERE - RAIN AND SNOW ARE COMING TO TROODOS FROM TOMORROW - Filenews 11/3


Weak high pressure is affecting the area, while weak low pressure is expected from Thursday. Dust will be observed in the atmosphere from time to time.

Today, the weather will be mostly clear, although locally increased clouds will be observed at times. Winds will be mainly northeast to east, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough in the west, but up to rough on the rest of the coast. The temperature will rise to20 degrees inland, around 21 on the coast and 8 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, there will be increased high clouds from time to time. Winds will be mainly north to northeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and locally windward to rough. The temperature will drop to around 6 degrees inland, around 10 on the coast and around 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form locally.

On Thursday and Friday, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy, while in the midday hours there may be isolated rains, mainly in the mountains. On the highest peaks of Troodos it is possible that snow or sleet will fall.

On Saturday the weather will be mostly cloudy and local rains are expected at times.

The temperature until Friday is not expected to change appreciably, thus remaining slightly above the average climatic values, while on Saturday it is expected to drop slightly.
