A routine air mission turned into a historic moment for Britain's Royal Air Force when an F-35 fighter pilot operating from the British base in Akrotiri shot down two Iranian-made Shahed drones in the skies of the Middle East.
The operation took place shortly after midnight Sunday to Monday over Jordan, as part of the increased military mobility in the region after the US-Israeli strikes on Iran and the subsequent retaliatory attacks. Returning to the base in the early hours of the morning, the pilots drank a KEO, as they themselves reported to British media.
