The amount of rainfall for the month of March is almost double the normal amount. According to the preliminary data of the Department of Meteorology, the total rainfall for the free areas amounted to 182% of normal, from 1 to 9 am on March 30.

The average total amount of precipitation from the 1st to the 9 am of March 30 amounted to 112.5 mm, compared to 61.9 mm which is the normal rainfall for the whole month.

According to the data, Stavros tis Psokas, Pano Panagia, Platania and Saittas received the largest amount of rainfall within the month.

More specifically, a large amount of rainfall during this period was recorded in Stavros tis Psokas with 253 mm which corresponds to 217% of the normal for the whole of March, in Platania with 201.5 mm (179% of the normal), in Pano Panagia with 204.5 mm (200% of the normal), in Saittas with 179.5 mm (215% of the normal) and in Prodromos with 176.7 mm (147% of the normal).
