AEGEAN - NEW FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS DUE TO CRISIS - Filenews 4/3
Aegean Airlines is proceeding with additional flight cancellations to countries in the Middle East, due to the ongoing developments in the region and the increased geopolitical tension.
According to the company's information, the cancellations concern flights to and from destinations in Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, as part of the security measures taken after the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
Until when do cancellations apply?
In particular, the airline announced that:
- Flights to and from Dubai and Abu Dhabi are cancelled until the evening hours of March 6, 2026.
- Flights to and from Jeddah and Riyadh are cancelled until the early hours of March 7, 2026.
- Flights to and from Tel Aviv, Beirut, Erbil and Baghdad are cancelled until the early hours of March 10, 2026.
The cancellations are part of wider reschedules made by many airlines, as instability in the Middle East affects the operation of air networks and air routes in the region.
The company says it is closely monitoring developments and will inform passengers of any changes to the flight schedule.
