Petrolina (Holdings) Public Limited announces that on 31.01.2026 the acquisition of all (100%) of the share capital of ExxonMobil Cyprus Limited by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Med Energywise Ltd. The total consideration paid for the acquisition amounts to €45.1 million, after the finalization of the planned completion adjustments, on the basis of the Acquisition Agreement dated 2020. 27.11.2024.
Following the change of ownership and its integration into the Petrolina Group, ExxonMobil Cyprus Limited will be renamed eWise Cyprus Ltd, following the completion of the relevant procedures provided by law.
In a relevant statement, Mr. Dinos Lefkaritis, Executive Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Petrolina (Holdings) Public Limited, said that he is proud of the strengthening of the Petrolina Group with the addition of such an important brand. As he noted, the Group aims to further exploit the long-standing commercial presence and legacy of the brand, by securing a license to use the ESSO trademarks in the Cypriot market, ensuring the continuity of the operation of the gas stations under the said name.
Mr. Lefkaritis also thanked all those who contributed to the achievement of this strategic goal, as well as Eurobank for financing the transaction, which is an important development for Cypriot standards.
