SITUATION HAS IMPROVED A LITTLE REGARDING DAMS - Pafos Live 28/2
A little more than 20% of their total capacity are the dams of Cyprus with the small dams in the Polis Chrysochous district being in the best condition. The two large dams in Cyprus, Kouris and Asprokremmo, are at 18% and 21% of their capacity respectively and are close to the quantities stored last year.
The picture is better in the dams of the Polis Chrysochous district where the Pomos dam has already overflowed, while the dams of Argaka, Agia Marina and Evretos have so far collected 30% of their capacity and are in much better condition than last year.
In total, however, less than sixty million cubic meters of water are stored in the dams today, while in the corresponding period last year they exceeded 74.
