The images of the rushing rivers are impressive due to the continuous rainfall in recent days. In fact, due to the rains, the dams of Klirou and Pomos overflowed, while they are also beneficial for the rest of the dams in Cyprus.
It is recalled that the total amount of water in the dams today amounts to 13.8% compared to 26% last year at this time, according to the data of the Department of Water Development.
Specifically, the total amount in the dams amounts to 40.078 million cubic meters of water (ECM) with the total capacity amounting to 290.804 ECM. Last year at this time the total quantity amounted to 75,709 ECM.
