As part of the bilateral cooperation of the National Guard with the Armed Forces of the United States of America, a joint training of personnel of the two countries was carried out, with the participation of the U.S. Marine Corps Security Team Europe (FASTEUR).
The Commando Commando, the 964th Military Police Battalion and the Special Anti-Terrorist Platoon of the Cyprus Police took part in the joint training. The program focused on strategies and tactics for the prevention and management of terrorist threats, as well as the use of riot control and crowd control tactics.
At the same time, National Guard personnel travelled to the United States of America as part of the State Cooperation Program with the New Jersey National Guard, with the aim of exchanging know-how and monitoring operational processes in the field of cyber defense and cybersecurity.
As mentioned, the National Guard continues to invest in training and in the continuous upgrading of the knowledge and skills of its personnel, both nationally and internationally, pointing out that training is a key pillar for maintaining operational readiness and responding effectively to modern security challenges.
