Once again, the severe weather phenomena that hit Paphos last night created serious problems for the businesses of the coastal front and especially on the pier. The intense sea turbulence resulted in the area of the pier being filled with algae, sea water and other debris, causing damage to the businesses opposite the pier.
With the first light of day, the businessmen once again found themselves in front of a heartbreaking spectacle, forced to start again the work of repairing the damage and cleaning inside and outside their premises in order to make this tourist area accessible to visitors again.
Businessmen in the area strongly complain about the situation they face every time the weather conditions worsen, calling on the Municipality of Paphos and the competent state authorities to finally take measures to remove the consequences created by the decisions to demolish the protective small wall in front of the sea.
