PROGRAMME
Tuesday 10 February
7.00p.m. Municipal Cultural Center Panos Solomonides
Event in the honour of Loulis Katsounotos, Artemakis Zachariou, Akis Georgiou (Taytos) and Miltos Papadopoulos. Held under the auspices of the Limassol Mayor and organised by Carnivalists and friends of the honourees.
Carnival Museum opening hours: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday 11 February
7.00p.m. Theomaria Art Gallery
(7, Vasilissis Karlottas & Elenis Paleologinas str.)
The Theomaria Art Gallery hosts for the 19th consecutive year a carnival mask exhibition by Vera Efthimiou Parlalidou.
Thursday 12 February
7.30a.m.
Festivities begin early with the “First BBQ” of the day at the Lemesos Media Group offices (67, Omonoias str.)
10.00a.m.
Carnival fiestas in front of Eurobank (Gladstonos str.) and Bank of Cyprus (Ayiou Andreou str.).
1.30p.m.
Serenades by the Limassol Serenaders at Saripolou Square.
Grigoris Afxentiou Square
5.30p.m. Grigoris Afxentiou Square (District Administration Office) goes old school with the band “Lopodytes”.
7.00p.m.
Τhe Queen-to-be gets dressed at the Limassol Town Hall.
The Mayor and the Municipal Council, the Royal Family, the Limassol Municipal Philharmonic Band, the Cyprus Girl Guides Majorettes, and the Limassol Majorettes will set off in a procession from the Town Hall towards Grigori Afxentiou Square (District Administration Office).
The procession will proceed along Archbishop Kyprianou Street, Agiou Andreou Street, and Independence Street.
Along the route, the procession will meet the “Ariones” Serenaders group and the float of the Queen of Passion and Madness of the Limassol Carnival.
At Grigori Afxentiou Square, they will be welcomed by the percussion group Batukinio, followed by the coronation ceremony.
7.30p.m.
Coronation of the Queen of Passion and Craziness.
Back to the 80s and 90s – a Carnival party with live music by a full band of talented musicians followed by DJ LeSkouf.

Friday 13 February
Serenaders Evening
7.00p.m. Medieval Castle Square
Participants: Moderni Keri choir, Cypriot Serenaders, Limassol Serenaders, Ariones Serenaders, EDON Limassol Serenaders, Cultural Association of EAC Employees Choir, Ilandron male vocal ensemble, Mousikes Periplanisis choir.
Saturday 14 February
10.00a.m. Municipal Cultural Center Panos Solomonides
Carnival arts & crafts with the former Carnival Queens Monika Pieridou and Elena Papadopoulou, and the Limassol Municipality Art Workshop.
Carnival Museum opening hours: 9.30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
1:00p.m. Ayia Fyla Square
Traditional carnival music event with the Dionysus Cultural and Dance Club.
3.00p.m. The Limassol Cycling Club cycles in a carnival mood around the city.
Starting and Ending Point: Medieval Castle Square.
6.00p.m. Serenaders Event outside the Municipal University Library (Ayiou Andreou str.)
The Limassol Municipality and the Limassol Serenaders organise an event with serenades and carnival songs. Participants: EDON Limassol Serenaders, Moderni Keri choir, Ariones Serenaders, Limassol Serenaders, Cypriot Serenaders, Ilandron male vocal ensemble.
9.00p.m. Lanitis Carob Mill
“Valentine’s Goes Carnival” – a party with DJ Panicos Karpettas on the decks.
Awards for the best Valentine's Day-themed costumes.

Sunday 15 February
11.30a.m. Children’s Carnival Parade
Starting Point: Sea front road, Municipal Garden traffic lights
Ending: 2nd sea front parking lot – next to “Red” cafe
Opening the parade is the children’s percussion group Batukinio, followed by the Queen of Passion and Madness of the Limassol Carnival with her impressive float and stilt walkers.
Also participating are the Cyprus Girl Guides Majorettes and the Limassol Majorettes.
4.30p.m. Serenaders Event outside Perama
Songs by the Georgalletos Serenaders. The event is dedicated to the memory of the founder of the group.
8.30p.m Lanitis Carob Mill
Disco party with the Time Surfers.

Monday 16 February
7.30p.m. Lanitis Carob Mill
Cartoon exhibition in collaboration with the Cyprus Cartoonists Association “GEL.A” and “PIN” Cartoon and Sketch Workshop.
Photography exhibition by the Cyprus Photographic Society – Limassol Branch and exhibition by the Limassol Union of Self-Educated Painters.
Featuring the Children’s Choir and the Mixed Choir of the Municipality of Polemidia
Open until 23 February.
8.00p.m Lanitis Carob Mill
A combination of tradition and modern revelry in a carnival music programme with the Diastasis Vocal Ensemble and an impressive 40 performers on stage.

7.30p.m. Let’s take a musical stroll with the EDON Limassol Serenaders up to Olympos Ayiou Nikolaou.
7.30p.m. Evening “Pellomaska” Parade
The Limassol Municipality in collaboration with Lemesos Media Group organise the “Pellomaska” (crazy costume) Parade. The parade will be headed by the Queen of Passion and Craziness, the Royal Family, the Majorettes of the Cyprus Girl Guides Association and the Limassol Municipal Philharmonic Band

Ending Point: Medieval Castle Square
8.00p.m. Thursday’s Carnival Ball, Medieval Castle Square
Latin and salsa music performed by the eight-member band Cuban Guns.
DJ music by DJ Bereck.

Lanitis Carob Mill
Carnival songs and serenades by Limassol Tetrafonia (Four Voice Men’s Choir).

7.30p.m. Evening Carnival Parade
Starting Point: Grigoris Afxentiou Square (District Administration Office)
Ending Point: Medieval Castle Square
The Limassol Municipality in collaboration with the association “Friends of Limassol Carnival” co-organise an Evening Carnival Parade with the participation of the Batukinio percussion band, the Limassol Majorettes, and the Queen of Passion and Madness.
8.00p.m. Tuesday’s Carnival Fiesta, Medieval Castle Square
Carnival Reloaded with live music in a program filled with rhythm, music, and carnival spirit.
DJ music by DJ Mad Max.
Crazy Mask and Smart Mask Contest – Awards for the best costumes.
Friday 20 February
7.00p.m. Children’s Choirs – Pattihio Municipal Theatre
Serenades and carnival songs.
Participants: “House of Marios” vocal ensemble, Melodies & Chromata children's choir and mandolin ensemble, Cantus Choral Music Centre Angelina Nicolaidou, Papadakeio Municipal School of Music youth orchestra and children’s choir, Kourion Municipality children's choir and Limassol Municipality youth orchestra.
Entrance fee: €5. Proceeds will be donated to the Limassol Municipality Social Grocery Store.
9.00p.m. Lanitis Carob Mill
A unique musical journey full of rhythm and emotion to the sounds of tango, waltz, rumba, Greek folk and today’s hits.

Pattihio Municipal Theatre
11.30a.m. Interactive carnival storytelling with music from various countries and cultures. Participants: Korina Vasiliou, Marios Andreou, Aris children’s choir, Epilogi children’s choir and Papadakeio Municipal School of Music choir and string orchestra.
A collaboration between the Cultural Movement Epilogi and the Municipality of Limassol.
Entrance fee: €5. Proceeds will be donated to the Limassol Municipality Social Grocery Store.
12.00p.m. Ayiou Andreou
A musical walk from Ayiou Andreou street to the Medieval Castle Square with Maria Diamantidou's choir and Georgia Kombou's “Echo of Mandolins”.
1.00p.m. Marios Tokas Square – Mesa Geitonia
Carnival songs and dances from Cyprus, Lesbos, Asia Minor, and the Aegean islands with the Limassol Folklore Association, Michalis and Petros Kouloumis.
3.00p.m. The Limassol Classic Cars Club drives around the city in a carnival mood.

6.30p.m. Performance by Georgia Protopapa’s Vocal Ensemble and Mousikes Periplanisis choir together with Kitharodos Serenaders.
7.00p.m. Serenaders at Grigoris Afxentiou Square
Participants: EDON Limassol Serenaders, Moderni Keri choir, Ariones Serenaders, Limassol Serenaders, Cypriot Serenaders and Ilandron male vocal ensemble.
9.00p.m. Lanitis Carob Mill
A live band brings the disco and international dance hits of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s back to the dance floor. Get ready to move.

Grand Carnival Parade

Starting Point: Ayios Nikolaos Round About
Ending Point: Polemidia Traffic Lights (Fairways)
1.00p.m. The parade will be preceded by the Limassol Municipal Philharmonic Band, the Majorettes of the Cyprus Girl Guides Association, Serenaders, the Batukinio percussion band and the Limassol Majorettes.
They will be followed by the Queen of Passion and Craziness and her entourage, the Mayor and the Municipal Council, an array of floats and pedestrians.
9.00p.m. Farewell Carnival Fiesta – Old Port Square
Come party with us as we wave goodbye to this year’s Carnival with DJ Mitsingkas and DJ Alex M.

All Limassol Carnival events to be held at Lanitis Carob Mill are free of charge.
You can pre-book your tickets online at www.ticketmaster.com.cy or secure them at Pattihio Municipal Theatre’s box office and ACS Courier stores.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The maximum number of tickets a person can reserve is 2.
