The Health Insurance Organization announced a new function, which concerns the possibility of declaring the Blood Group in the medical profile of GHS beneficiaries by personal doctors from February 25, 2026.
In a relevant announcement, it is stated that the possibility of registration is available exclusively by personal doctors in the new "Blood Group" section, which has been added to the Medical Profile, with the aim of completing and accurately the medical information of the beneficiaries. Other health providers who have access to the beneficiaries' Medical Profile, as well as the beneficiaries themselves, can only view the registered blood type, without the possibility of entering or modifying any information.
Access to the Blood Group for beneficiaries is available through the GHS website (www.gesy.org.cy). More specifically, the beneficiaries, after entering the "Beneficiary Portal", select the category "Beneficiary File", then the "Medical Profile" section and then the "Blood Type" field, where they can be informed about the Registration Date, the Blood Type as well as the Personal Doctor who has entered it, as shown in the image below:
It is noted that access to the above functions requires that the beneficiaries have an account in the Beneficiary Portal and have connected their Beneficiary File.
