A foreign resident of Paphos was arrested by the police for a case of fraudulent appropriation of electricity. The specific foreigner who lived in an apartment in Paphos illegally connected to the EAC network bypassing the meter. The investigations found that he had also been illegally connected to the city's water supply network.

Two persons, aged 36, were arrested by members of the Police in the province of Paphos, as part of the investigation of a burglary and theft case.
This is a case of burglary of a house, in the province of Paphos, committed on January 26. According to the data under investigation, gold and jewellery, wristwatches, and money were stolen from the residence.
From the examinations carried out, evidence emerged against the 36-year-old and the 36-year-old. Court warrants were issued for their arrest, pursuant to which the 36-year-old was arrested last Sunday night, while the 36-year-old was arrested today at noon.
Earlier this morning, the 36-year-old was brought before the Paphos District Court, which issued a four-day detention order, for the purpose of investigating the case.

Before the permanent criminal court of Paphos, the hearing for the attempted murder of a 41-year-old Greek Cypriot in Amargeti, in July 2025, begins today. During the previous hearing, the 55-year-old Greek Cypriot who has been arrested and is being detained had answered a non-admission to all the charges brought against him.
The 55-year-old is accused of attempting to kill a 41-year-old man from Limassol on July 5, 2025 at the "Fournoi" location, in the village of Amargeti, using a firearm. He also faces a charge of carrying a firearm in a closed hunting period.
The victim and the alleged perpetrator maintain fields in the same area of the community of Amargeti and seem to have had differences over the boundaries of the plots.
The victim had been located on the side of the main road Axylos-Statos-Agios Fotios with a wound to the abdomen, caused by a shotgun shot. The injured man was hospitalized for a long time in the ICU of the Nicosia General Hospital, eventually overcoming the danger.

Members of the Police arrested a 41-year-old man, suspected of committing a robbery yesterday, at a kiosk in the province of Famagusta. The suspect was taken into custody, with the Famagusta Police Department investigating the robbery case.
According to the data under investigation, around 10.40 yesterday, a man entered a kiosk in the province of Famagusta, wearing a motorcycle helmet and with the threat of a shotgun, extorted a sum of money from the employee at the cash register of the premises and fled.
The scene was visited by members of the local Xylofagou Police Station and the Famagusta Police Department, and from the examinations carried out, testimony against the 41-year-old emerged. He was located by members of the Famagusta TAE, shortly after 7.30 pm and after being arrested on a court warrant, he was taken into custody for the purpose of investigating the case.
The TAE of Famagusta continues the exams.

The targeted preventive operations of the Police continued during last night, with an enhanced presence in key points of urban areas, with the aim of preventing serious criminal acts, protecting citizens and ensuring public order.
As part of these operations, the Police proceeded to arrest seven persons. Specifically, four persons were arrested in Paphos, in connection with two cases of home burglary and theft, one case of domestic violence, and one case of fraudulent appropriation of electricity, while in Nicosia and Larnaca three persons were arrested, in relation to two cases of drug possession and one case of illegal stay in the territory of the Republic.
Also, during the night, 326 vehicles were stopped for inspection and 413 persons on board were checked. At the same time, 30 inspections of premises were carried out, with the aim of preventing and suppressing delinquent behaviour.
From the traffic inspections carried out, 115 complaints were made, concerning various traffic violations, while seven investigated cases of traffic violations also emerged. As part of the police examinations, seven vehicles were detained.
These operations are part of a broad, continuous and strengthened preventive plan of the Police, with an increased police presence, targeted controls and immediate operational action in all provinces, with the aim of preventing crime and strengthening the sense of security of citizens.

Two persons were arrested by members of the Police, in connection with two separate cases of burglary and theft under investigation, committed in the districts of Limassol and Nicosia. The two suspects, aged 38 and 27, were taken into custody, with the Limassol Police Department and the Nicosia Police Department investigating the two cases.
This is a case of burglary of a house in the area of Germasogeia, which according to the data under investigation was committed between October 24 and 25 and a case of burglary of an uninhabited house in the area of Nicosia, which is used as a storage space, committed between January 29 and February 1. According to the data under investigation, a sum of money was stolen from the residence in Limassol, while various items, such as clothing, as well as a music turntable system, and a bag, were stolen from the house in Nicosia.
After the examinations carried out, evidence emerged against a 38-year-old man, regarding the burglary of the residence in Limassol and against a 27-year-old man, regarding the burglary of the house in Nicosia, arrest warrants were issued against them. The 38-year-old was located and arrested shortly before 11.30 last night, by members of the Police in Paphos, while the 27-year-old was located and arrested around 6.00 last night, by members of the Police in Nicosia. During a search that was then carried out yesterday, in the residence of the 27-year-old, various objects and a sum of €2,065 were found, for the origin of which he did not give satisfactory explanations.
