The vast majority of beneficiaries receiving childbirth allowance are Cypriots, compared to foreigners, as shown by the Minister of Labour, Mr. Marinos Mousiouttas, to a question by ELAM MP, Mr. Linos Papagiannis.
Specifically, as stated in the answer, based on data from the computerized system of the Social Insurance Services of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, the list of beneficiaries for Childbirth Allowance, during the period between October 1, 2024 and January 9, 2026, is as follows:

At the same time, the minister informs the ELAM MP that based on the Social Insurance (Tue.) (No. 4) Law of 2024 [Law 157(I)/2024] and with retroactive effect from October 1, 2024, the Childbirth Allowance was increased in stages, from €628.92 as follows.
· €1,000 for the first child,
· €1,500 for the second child,
· €2,000 for the third child and
· €2,500 for the fourth and each subsequent child.
