Weak low pressure affects the area, while from late at night a low barometric with a center in Greece will temporarily affect the island. Dust will be observed in the atmosphere from time to time until tomorrow morning.
Today, there will be increased clouds and are expected to give rain in places, without ruling out a short isolated storm, mainly in the western half of the island and later in northern areas. On the highest peaks of Troodos, snow or sleet is likely to fall. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. Gradually in the windward they will become up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort and in the southeast transient to very strong, 5 to 6 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough to rough. The temperature will rise to around 20 degrees inland and on the coast and to 9 degrees in the higher mountains.
Isolated rains are expected tonight, especially in the mountains, in western and southern areas. Later, however, and especially in the morning hours, local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected. On the highest peaks of Troodos, it is possible that sleet or snow will fall. Winds will blow southeast to southwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and windward to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, with gradual strengthening to moderate to strong and windward to very strong, 6 Beaufort. The sea will become turbulent until and later in the west until wavy. The temperature will drop to 12 degrees inland, around 14 on the coast and 6 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Wednesday the weather will be mostly cloudy with local rains and isolated thunderstorms, with the phenomena in the afternoon weakening and limited to the west. The area will be affected by a very strong to severe westerly wind current which will weaken in the evening and snow or sleet is expected to fall in the higher mountains. On Thursday and Friday, locally increased clouds will be observed from time to time.
The temperature on Wednesday will drop slightly, to fluctuate slightly above the average climatic values, but until Friday it will rise slightly.
