ANNIE ALEXUI - MINISTRY OF JUSTICE CONSIDERING A TEAM IN MOSCOW - WAITING FOR GREEN LIGHT FROM RUSSIAN AUTHORITIES

Filenews 13 February 2026 - by Michalis Chatzivasilis

A team outside the Police may go to Moscow and have a meeting with 43-year-old Ioanna Fotiou, known on social media as Annie Alexui, in order to record what she has about cases involving both her and other persons.

This is stated by relevant information from Filenews, as a move not to expose the Police, since the 43-year-old is still wanted by the authorities with an international and European arrest warrant. According to the same information, the Minister of Justice Kostas Fytiris is in an open line of understanding with both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Legal Service on the issue.

As it was made clear to us, everything that 43-year-old Annie has to say will be investigated, however, at the moment, processes are underway on how the evidence will be received from her. The scenario that seems to be the most prevalent concerns the sending to Moscow, a two-member team which will consist of a criminal investigator appointed by the Attorney General and an official from the Ministry of Justice.

In this way, the Police are avoided from being exposed since they have already issued arrest warrants following complaints from various persons about the spread of false news, while at the same time the person concerned herself has stated many times that she does not trust the Police, especially the one in Paphos.

What seems to have been pre-decided and the relevant procedures are being initiated is to appoint a criminal investigator, a former lawyer and at the same time, together with an official from the Ministry of Justice, to go to Moscow, as soon as they receive the green light from the Russian authorities. Already, according to our information, a lawyer who has served as a criminal investigator for a serious case in the past, is at the ministry and is in consultation with competent officials, to make everything legal, so that as soon as the "ok" is received from the diplomatic contacts that are being made, they can leave for the Russian capital.

On the part of the Legal Service, it has been reported to us that everything mentioned in the various videos posted by Ms. Fotiou in consultation with the Ministry of Justice and the Police is being evaluated. In the whole issue, according to the information we have, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also been involved, while a request has already been sent to the Russian authorities about Annie's stay status in Moscow, whether she has asylum and whether she can be officially visited by investigators.

All this will be clarified in the next few days, so it is expected that next week there will be developments. On the part of the Minister of Justice, Kostas Fytiris, the readiness is expressed to examine everything that the 43-year-old says in order to clarify what evidence she possesses and whether it can be turned into testimony.
