The local authority announced the implementation of projects with a total budget of €595,150 in the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous and its municipal districts, within the framework of the Sponsorship Scheme of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism for the revival of rural, mountainous, border and remote areas.
As stated in an announcement, the projects aim to create authentic experiences, enrich and upgrade the tourism product, strengthen the local economy, as well as improve the quality of life of the residents.
Through the interventions implemented, the special characteristics of each municipal district, the natural and cultural heritage of the area, as well as the local identity, are highlighted, offering visitors meaningful experiences, as mentioned.
According to the announcement, the following projects have been implemented per municipal district:
-In Polis Chrysosous projects €86,500 for the construction of wooden fencing in the Doctors' Park as well as the supply and installation of urban equipment (bins, benches, table benches)
-In Agia Marina Chrysochous, €47,430 projects for the purchase and installation of linings, the construction and installation of mosaic icons as well as the placement of viewing points
-In the community of Gialia, projects of €42,100 for the construction of mosaic signs, the construction of a built flower garden, the construction and installation of metal railings, tree planting, irrigation/self-irrigation system, painting and the installation of lighting poles.
-In Nea Dimmata, €53,320 projects for the purchase and installation of investments, the construction of a built flower garden, tree planting, installation of an irrigation/self-irrigation system. Also for the maintenance of existing structures, the placement of toys in the playground, the installation of signage and the installation of light poles.
-In Neo Chorio, €55,830 projects for the installation of a screen, the creation of a landmark (I love Neo Chorio), the development of a mobile application, the creation of a website, the construction and installation of a wooden corridor for the disabled, the construction and installation of signs, the construction and installation of bins and the installation of lighting poles.
-Also in Pomos projects of €72,617 for the purchase and placement of investments and tree planting,
-In the community of Argaka, €45,000 projects for the purchase and installation of investments, the construction of stone walls, and tree planting.
-In the community of Drousia, €32,420 projects for the installation of pebbled flowers, signage and a website and a digital map.
-In Terra, projects of €30,970 for the creation of welcome signs, the reconstruction of four (4) fountains and the construction of two (2) new ones and tree planting.
-In Kritou Terra, projects of €20,140 for the purchase and installation of investments and the reconstruction of a fountain.
-In Chrysochou projects, €45,040 for the purchase of tree plantings and the purchase of watering equipment.
-Also for the community of Pelathousa, projects of €37,556 for the purchase and installation of investments as well as the landscaping of a garden.
The Municipality of Polis Chrysochous expresses its thanks to the Deputy Ministry of Tourism for the support and cooperation, which contributes decisively to the sustainable development of the area and to enhancing its attractiveness as a tourist destination throughout the year, as it notes.
