Rains accompanied by thunder, strong winds and snow are expected during the day, while dust will be suspended in the atmosphere. The area will be affected by weak low pressure. Thin dust will be observed in the atmosphere from time to time.
Today, the weather will be mostly cloudy, while local rains are expected which are likely to be accompanied by thunder from the afternoon. Temporarily, strong winds of up to 7 Beaufort will blow. In the evening, snow or sleet is expected to fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.
The temperature will rise to 12 degrees inland, around 15 on the coast and 4 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will be observed locally.
On Friday, the weather will be partly cloudy and isolated rains are expected from time to time without excluding snow or sleet on the highest peaks of Troodos.
On Saturday, local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, as well as snow in the higher mountains. In the afternoon the weather is expected to improve noticeably.
On Sunday, the weather will be partly cloudy.
The temperature until Sunday will gradually rise, mainly inland, to fluctuate close to or slightly above the average climatic values.
The height of the snow in Chionistra, at the time of issuing the bulletin, was 20 cm.
