CREATION OF AN EASTERN LINEAR PARK
Public presentation of the project "Creation of an Eastern Linear Park"
Project with a total budget of € 9.200.000 was presented by the Municipality of Paphos and the Municipality of Ierokipia yesterday at the Atticon Multipurpose Hall, as part of the public presentation of the architectural designs for the large environmental and social project "Creation of an Eastern Linear Park", in the presence of representatives of the Municipal Authority, scholars and citizens.
The project is to be implemented in the areas of the Municipality of Paphos and the Municipality of Ierokipia and concerns the formation of a single linear area of greenery and recreation with a total length of more than 7.3 kilometers, which starts at the terminal roundabout of the Limassol - Paphos highway and extends to the area of the coast in Kato Paphos.
According to the presented plans, a pedestrian path of 6,342 meters long and 18,030.7 sq.m., a bicycle path of 2,638 meters long and 9,891.2 sq.m., are planned, as well as sports and recreation infrastructure, games, a dog park, an outdoor theater, bird observations and parking spaces of 105, of which 10 for the disabled.
The project was carried out by the scholar Mr. Chrysanthou and the architectural office C.E. Chrysanthu Architects & Associates.
