The winery is situated in Kyperounda, one of the villages of Pitsilia, from which it took its name. It is located fifty kilometers from Limassol and seventy five from Nicosia at an altitude of 1200 meters, Kyperounda winery is Europe’s highest and one of the highest in the world. The operation of Kyperounda winery was started in the late 1990s by a group of local wine makers, whose initial aim was to utilize to the full the wine growing potential of the area. Their collective efforts coincided with the vision of the Photos Photiades family and led to the production of high quality Cypriot wines of a highly particular character.
