Heavy rain and dense fog in the Troodos areas affect the road network and traffic around 9.00 on Saturday morning, with the Police recommending special attention to passing vehicle drivers.
The roads in Troodos are open to all vehicles, however due to the heavy rain and dense fog that prevails, the roads are slippery and visibility is dangerously limited.
Members of the Police are in the Troodos area to check the road network and provide assistance, especially in places where soil and stones are falling, as well as water accumulation.
Drivers of vehicles are asked to drive at low speeds, maintain a safe distance from the vehicles in front, keep their vehicle's headlights on and be extremely careful in places where water accumulates on the road surface.
