The Ministry of Health appeals to volunteer blood donors and those in good health to come to the nearest blood donation centers, as it states, "the need for blood remains increased, while the attendance of blood donors is decreasing, mainly due to seasonal viruses".
At the same time, he points out, in a statement, that "many patients continue to need blood and blood products (red blood cells, plasma, platelets) for treatments, surgeries and other medical needs".
For this reason, the Ministry of Health invites volunteer blood donors and all those who are in good health to take some time and come to the nearest blood donation centers.
Blood Donation Centers
The blood donation centers for the Nicosia District are located at the Engomi Health Center (Monday-Friday 07:30-20:00, Saturday 08:00-14:00 – Tel.: 22809098) and in Geri (Friday 07:30-20:00, Saturday 09:00-15:00 – Tel.: 22309222, 22309221).
For the Limassol District, at the Old Hospital (Monday-Friday 07:30-20:00) and at the Church Hall of St. Georgiou Havouzas (Saturday 14:00-17:00 – Tel.: 25730276, 25730277).
For the District of Larnaca, at the General Hospital of Larnaca (Friday 07:30-15:00) and at the Primary School of Alethriko (18:00-20:00 – Tel.: 24800555).
For the Paphos District, at the Blood Donation Station (Royal Business Center) and at the AA Power Mode Gym (next to the Electric Power Plant building – Today until 20:00, Saturday 09:30-12:00 – Tel.: 26306409).
