The new Minister of Health made an unannounced visit to Paphos Hospital today. It was the first visit of the new minister to the state hospital of Paphos after taking office and aimed to see the operation of the unit in real conditions.
Neophytos Charalambidis toured the various departments of the hospital and was informed by the management and officials of the various departments about the situation and the prevailing conditions. At the same time, he was informed about the expansion projects of the A&E and the requests of the social bodies for improvements in various departments of the Paphos Hospital.
The Minister of Health, who was accompanied on his visit by the MP of Paphos of DIKO, Chrysanthos Savvidis, was additionally informed about the immediate necessity of the arrival of doctors of specific specialties, about the delay recorded in the issue of the reopening of the hospital's canteen, as well as about the necessity of the immediate announcement of the position of its Executive Director, in order to make the decided autonomy of Paphos Hospital from Limassol Hospital a reality.
