Weak high pressure temporarily affects the area. The barometric low, named Byron, begins to affect the island from Friday night. Dust will be suspended in the atmosphere from time to time.
The first snow, or at least sleet, is expected to fall over the weekend in Troodos, according to the Meteorological Service.
The weather will be cloudy, with local rains and thunderstorms.

In the afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy, while isolated light rains are possible. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and the sea will be a little rough.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly cloudy at times, while isolated light rains are possible. Winds will be mainly north to northeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough. The temperature will drop to 11 degrees inland, around 14 on the coast and 6 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tomorrow, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy, while isolated rains may occur. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and temporarily windward to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and locally in the windward to rough. The temperature will rise to around 23 degrees inland and on the coasts and to 13 degrees in the higher mountains.
