RAINFALL 1 OCTOBER TO 30 NOVEMBER, 42% OF NORMAL

The average rainfall recorded from October 1 to November 29-30, after the weekend rains, reached 36.1 millimeters, which corresponds to 42% of normal, according to data from the Department of Meteorology. On the two-day period of November 29-30, an average rainfall of 8.2 millimeters was recorded, while the average rainfall for the month of November amounted to 22.1 millimeters, a percentage corresponding to 41% of normal rainfall for the month. The highest amount of rain in the last two days, according to data from the Department of Meteorology, was recorded in Stavros tis Psokas, at 33 millimeters. Polis Chrysochou followed with 26.9 mm, Prodromos with 20.8 mm, Pano Panagia with 16.1 mm, Platania with 10.8 mm. In Limassol (new port) the rainfall reached 10.2 mm and in Kellaki 7.5 mm. Smaller amounts of rain were recorded in the districts of Nicosia, Larnaca and Famagusta. The smallest amount was recorded in Frenaros with just 0.7 mm, in Athienou and Lythrodontas 1.3 mm, in Gefiri Panagias and Athalassa in Nicosia 1.8 mm, in Larnaca Airport and Xylotymbou 2 mm, in Saittas 3 mm and in Kornos 4.8 mm.
