A mountain village in Paphos has launched its first Christmas Village festival, bringing festive cheer to the countryside with wooden chalets, local products and family activities.
Statos-Agios Fotios, built at elevation and surrounded by vineyards, is hosting the celebration in its community park through early January. The festival features wooden chalets selling local products, mulled wine and traditional sweets, alongside children’s activities and festive events.

The village, which consists mostly of modern houses, has transformed its park into a festive destination with decorations, music and lighting. The playground area provides space for families visiting the celebration.

The Deputy Ministry of Tourism is supporting the initiative, working with the Paphos Development Company “Afroditi”. According to organisers, the project supports the local economy and brings development opportunities to the village.
The Community Council has worked on improvements and beautification to prepare for the festival. Organisers said they aim to create a magical Christmas atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

The Christmas Village operates on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11:00 to 19:00. It will also open on Fridays 12 and 19 December from 10:00 to 19:00, then run daily from 22 December 2025 through 6 January 2026 from 11:00 to 19:00. On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, operating hours are 15:00 to 23:00.
