The Budget of the Municipality of Paphos for 2026 is Surplus and Development-oriented
The Municipality of Pafos announces that the Municipal Council, at its meeting on December 15, 2025, approved the Municipal Budget for the year 2026 as well as the Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MDP) for the period 2026-2028.
For the year 2026, the Budget provides for total revenues of € 36,280,864 and total expenditure € 28,661,391, presenting a surplus of € 7,619,473. This surplus result strengthens the financial stability of the Municipality and maintains the conditions for the implementation of important development projects.
In relation to the imposition of duties and taxes for the year 2026, the City Council has approved a small adjustment to the Real Estate Tax, from 0.26 το to 0.28 2021 on the estimated value of real estate (at 2021 values). Practically, for a real estate with an estimated value of €200,000, the Real Estate End for 2026 will be calculated at €56 from €52 calculated in 2025, i.e. it will increase by €4. In proportion to commercial growth with an estimated value of € 20 million. , the Real Estate Tax for 2026 will be calculated at € 5,600 from € 5,200 calculated in 2025, i.e. it will increase by € 400.
In addition, the City Council approved a small increase in the Cleaning Fee by € 10. The increase was deemed necessary in order for this end to retain its reciprocal character by ensuring seamless delivery of quality cleaning services to the public which has been strengthened and continues to be strengthened by upgrading equipment in the field of cleaning and public health.
In relation to the capital expenditure, which for 2026 amount to € 34,917,642 these include, among other things, infrastructure and landscaping projects of the city, the strengthening of social care and welfare, the renewal and supplementation as mentioned above the fleet of vehicles and machinery in the field of cleaning and public health, as well as projects and actions that serve the strategic goal of transforming Paphos into a Smart and Digital City.
