 Filenews 30 December 2025

The trilateral working plans for military cooperation, as well as the individual plans of the Armed Forces of Greece, Cyprus and Israel, constitute another step towards the deepening of military cooperation between the three countries, according to competent sources, who clarify that there is no question of creating a joint brigade.

In particular, the work plans, which were signed last week in Cyprus, include joint exercises and training, working groups in various sectors and a strategic military dialogue on issues of common interest

The Israeli delegation with the head of the Tevel Brigade, Brigadier General Amit Adler, met in Nicosia with his counterparts from Greece and Cyprus, in the context of a joint annual meeting of the Israeli, Greek and Cypriot armed forces.

''The signing of the plans is another step in the deepening of military cooperation between the countries and contributes to strengthening stability, security and peace in the Eastern Mediterranean region," the competent sources estimate.

The same sources also state that Nicosia has no intention of provoking Turkey, nor of causing verbal tension.

It is also noted that there is no question of the creation of a joint brigade by the three countries, Cyprus – Greece – Israel, as had been published in the previous period.
