The alarm must be sounded - and immediately - by the action of a specific group of students at the Vergina High School in Larnaca, who appear as followers of the Nazi ideology, causing vandalism.
Senior students, in fact, can be seen in photos they posted themselves giving the Nazi salute in school areas, painting swastikas on them. In one of them, they hold the sign placed by activists on a street behind their school, as a reaction to the tree planting carried out by the Jewish Community of Cyprus, which had initially announced that it was an event in honour of Donald Trump for the release of Israeli hostages. The students deleted the word "children" from the sign and painted a Nazi symbol on it.

Alarming complaints were made to Filenews, from various sources, stating that students have been organizing and recruiting others for a long time, while they have also created relevant accounts on social media distributing Nazi material. In addition, they allegedly paint swastikas on walls and school equipment.

Our website put the complaints before the president of the organized parents of the province of Larnaca, Kostas Costas, who stated that similar complaints came before them, noting that an Instagram account with the name Verginazi was created by students. "We, as parents, are clear and consider these incidents unthinkable," noted Mr. Costa, noting that "anything that refers to the Nazi past and especially to symbols associated with the murder of millions of people, we condemn it." He also added that "ideologies of hatred have no place in schools", asking the Ministry of Education "to deal with these issues".
