The aqueducts of Argaka, Mavroko Argaka, Mavrokolympou, Lympia, Xyliatos, Palaichori and Kalopanagiotis are declared closed for fishing due to the prolonged drought and restoration of the fish ponds. The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research, through a statement issued, points out that in case of catching the species Carp, Sea bass and Redfish from any dam, the fish should be released alive back into the dam.
The announcement
The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research informs the interested public that due to the prolonged drought and for the protection and restoration of fish ponds, the Director has decided:
1) The dams of Argaka, Mavrokolympou, Lympia, Xyliatos, Palaichori and Kalopanagiotis are declared closed for fishing.
2) In case of catching the species Carp, Sea bass and Redhead, from any weir, the fish should be released alive back into the weir.
