A week of information and checks for driving buses and trucks takes place from Monday, November 17, until Sunday, November 23, 2025.
This campaign, the third for this year, will be carried out in parallel in all European countries that are members of the European Roadpol Traffic Police Network, including Cyprus.
During the campaign, the Cyprus Police, in collaboration with the Department of Road Transport (TOM), will carry out checks focusing on:
- Driver and vehicle documents
- The speed of vehicles
- Speed limiting devices
- Driving and working hours
- The use of tachographs (analogue and digital)
- The mechanical condition of the vehicles
At the same time, zero tolerance will be shown for traffic violations that contribute to causing fatal and serious road collisions.
The Police remind that road safety concerns all of us and calls on drivers to comply with the Road Traffic Code and demonstrate responsible driving behaviour.
