It was confirmed for the second year in a row that Paphos has become the most popular tourist destination for Poles. This Central European country continues in 2025 from where it left off in 2024, since according to official data and this summer, 49% of Poles arriving in Cyprus chose Paphos.
The air connection between Paphos and Poland is the best in the last 30 years and in 2025 there will be up to 20 flights per week from six major Polish airports, with Ryanair having an almost monopolistic penetration in this market.
These important data are already being used by the Paphos institutions in an effort to form the basis for the further tourism development of the cooperation between the two countries. In this context, tourism agencies of the province, with the assistance of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, are taking actions aimed at informing tour operators about the promotion of Paphos as a year-round tourist destination.
The Polish market has now become a priority market and in recent years arrivals due mainly to Ryanair flights to Paphos have increased significantly.
