The Health Insurance Organization warns GHS beneficiaries about incidents of sending false and malicious SMS, which appear to be sent with the indication "GESY". According to the HIO, the messages are not related to the Organization or the GHS and aim to mislead citizens through fake links.

The SMS falsely informs recipients that they need to follow an electronic link to "correct personal information." The perpetrators' goal is to steal personal data.

The HIO reminds that it never asks for passwords, login details, financial data nor does it ask citizens to make transactions through links. It calls on those who receive such messages not to open the link and to delete the SMS immediately.
