An earthquake shook Cyprus a while ago.
According to the EMSC, it was felt in several areas. Level 5.2 but felt very strong. Aftershocks are being experienced.

Update - A strong earthquake shook Cyprus around 11:30 in the morning, upsetting citizens in various areas of the island.
According to the first estimates, this is a 5,7 Richter earthquake, followed by six more aftershocks.
The first reports from the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) indicate that the 5,7 Richter earthquake had as its epicenter an area 50 kilometers west of Limassol and 18 kilometers north of Paphos. The focal depth was 21,2 kilometers.
The next earthquakes followed a few minutes apart and are measured as intensity: 3.5 on the Richter scale, 3.6 on the Richter scale, 4.7 on the Richter scale, 2.3 on the Richter scale, 2.5 on the Richter scale and 3.9 on the Richter scale.
Immediately after the earthquake, there are reports of problems in the telecommunications network.
In the meantime, many workers left their jobs and went outside, anxious for their safety.
