YKAN proceeded yesterday to seize a quantity of cocaine weighing about one kilogram, a quantity of cannabis, weighing about nine kilograms, after a new coordinated operation, as part of the efforts made to identify and arrest persons who are systematically involved in drug trafficking and trafficking. 

Specifically, after evaluating information, members of YKAN located yesterday in an area in the province of Larnaca, the 42-year-old carrying a container, from his field to a parked car and departing from the spot. The 42-year-old then approached an open area with wild vegetation, where he was carrying a container. 

On his departure, he was stopped by the members of YKAN, who initially found in his possession cocaine, weighing two grams and cannabis, weighing three grams, a cleaver, 20 centimeters long, as well as the sum of €4,060. 

After the members of YKAN proceeded to arrest the 42-year-old for spontaneous offenses, they carried out searches in the two places where the 42-year-old had moved earlier, where the members of YKAN found three containers, containing a total of about 920 grams of cocaine, eight kilograms and 830 grams of cannabis and about 35 grams of cannabis resin. 

The 42-year-old was taken into custody for the purpose of investigating a case of drug possession, possession of drugs for the purpose of supplying another person, and money laundering. 

YKAN (Larnaca District Unit) is investigating the case.

The authorities mobilized shortly after midnight on Friday, in Limassol.

According to the Police, at 12:45, information was received about a fire in a car parked outside a kiosk.

The fire, which from the first examinations seems to have been maliciously set with the use of flammable material, broke out in the front of the car, while the owner was inside the kiosk.

The fire was extinguished by a passing driver who had a fire extinguisher in his vehicle. As a result of the fire, the vehicle suffered extensive damage to the engine area.
