A quarrel between relatives in Mesogi, Paphos, ended with gunfire in the early hours of this morning. The incident started hours before, with two relatives arguing in a public place over what appears to be land disputes and culminated in the use of a shotgun by one of them who shot at the second person's residence.
The Police proceeded to arrest this person, aged 46, after a complaint that he shot with his shotgun outside the house of his 49-year-old relative at 5.30 in the morning.
The 49-year-old allegedly told the Police that he and the 46-year-old have real estate disputes and had met last night at a recreation center where they verbally quarrelled over these issues. He claimed, however, that in the early hours of the morning he heard three shots while he was at home.
During the investigation of the case, the members of the Police found shotgun shrapnel on a metal mobile phone accessory installed on the roof of the complainant's residence.
The 46-year-old was arrested and taken into custody for transporting and using a firearm in a residential area, causing malicious damage and threatening violence.

A case of electronic fraud is being investigated by the TAE Larnaca, following a complaint by a company manager that fraudsters intercepted electronic communication with a partner company and indicated a false bank account for payment of €78.000.
According to the Police, unknown persons seem to have illegally gained access to the e-mails of the two companies and sent a message to the Cypriot company from an address that looked like the real one, informing about an alleged change of bank account. The company proceeded to pay the amount to the new account, before the fraud was detected in a subsequent communication with the real partner.
The case is under investigation.

A group of hooded men, according to the Police, AEL fans, seem to have moved in a coordinated manner to raid the spot, but the Apollonists were already waiting for them there, ready for a clash.
