A change in the weather scene was brought last night by the barometic Adel, with rains and storms occurring in areas of Cyprus.
The Weather Forecast:
The barometric low named ADEL and center in the northern Aegean, moves northeast, affecting the region of Cyprus. Dust will be suspended in the atmosphere, the concentrations of which will be increased from time to time.
Today, the weather will be partly cloudy and occasionally cloudy, while local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected. Hail is expected to fall in a storm. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, moderate to strong and temporarily strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea in the west and north will be rough, while in the south and east a little rough to rough. The temperature will rise to around 21 degrees inland and on the coasts and around 10 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, locally increased clouds will be observed, while in the west, north and possibly in the mountains, isolated rains and possibly isolated thunderstorms are expected. The winds will gradually weaken and will blow mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and temporarily on the coast moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will remain rough in the west and north, however in the south and east it will become a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 12 degrees inland, around 14 on the south and east coasts, around 16 on the west and north coasts and around 5 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Monday, locally increased clouds will be observed at intervals which are expected to give isolated rains, without ruling out a storm, in the morning hours in the west and north and after noon in the mountains and southeast.
On Tuesday, the weather in most areas will be mostly clear, however locally increased clouds are expected to give isolated rains after noon, mainly in the north and the mountains. On Wednesday, there will be increased average and high clouds at times.
The temperature until Tuesday is not expected to change appreciably, while on Wednesday it is expected to rise slightly, remaining however close and slightly above the average climatic values of the season.
