WEATHER - WHEN DOES BARBARA WEAKEN - THE FORECAST FOR THE WEEKEND

A barometric low centered on the Black Sea affects the area, while gradually weak low pressure will begin to prevail in the area.

Today, the weather will be partly cloudy and occasionally cloudy and local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, initially in the west and north and progressively in the rest of the island.

The phenomena, however, will soon weaken significantly. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest, initially light to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, to strengthen soon and become moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort and transient locally to very strong, 5 to 6 Beaufort.

The sea in the west and southwest will be rough, while on the rest of the coast it will be a little rough to rough. The temperature will rise to around 24 degrees inland, around 27 on the southeast coast, around 25 on the rest of the coast and around 12 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, however there will be increased clouds in places, especially in the western half of the island. Winds will remain southwest to northwest, however they will gradually weaken and become light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will become a little rough in the west and north and calm to a little rough in the south and east. The temperature will drop to around 14 degrees inland, around 17 on the coast and degrees in the higher mountains.

On Friday, locally increased clouds will be observed from time to time.

On Saturday and Sunday, the weather will be mostly clear with temporarily increased clouds.

The temperature until Saturday will gradually rise, while on Sunday no significant change is expected, to fluctuate slightly below the average climatic values of the season.
