On Tuesday, October 03, 2025, the contract for the project "Implementation of SUMP projects: parking and transfer stations – Limassol District" was signed at the office of the Director of the Department of Public Works. The contract was signed, on behalf of the Government, by the Director of the Department of Public Works, Mr. Eleftherios Eleftheriou, and, on behalf of the company "Spacialogic Construction CY Ltd", by Mr. Costas Lambri.
The project is located in the Limassol District, within the municipal boundaries of the Municipality of Kato Polemidia and the Municipality of East Limassol (former Community of Agios Tychonas), in the Limassol District.
The Project concerns the design, construction and 12-year maintenance of two parking and transfer stations, in the Municipality of Kato Polemidia and the Municipality of East Limassol (former Community of Agios Tychonas), in the Limassol District, in the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Specifically, the development will include the following:
• Plot in the Municipality of Kato Polemidia: ground floor building (with canopy), with a total area of 260 sq.m., at least 190 uncovered parking spaces, 6 parking and charging spaces for buses and heavy vehicles, construction of a section of public road, as well as a pedestrian bridge connecting the parking lot with Walter Disney Street.
• Public parking in the Municipality of East Limassol (former Community of Agios Tychonas): ground floor building (with canopy), with a total area of 215 sq.m., two (2) bus stops (through a creek on the road), as well as a minimum of 160 uncovered parking spaces.
The implementation of the project is scheduled to start in October 2025, with an execution duration of 14 months, and a cost of €3,850,000 plus VAT.
