The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) is warning the public about a fake letter circulating with its logos and insignia, demanding payment from recipients.
According to an announcement by the CBC, the letter does not come from the Bank and the case has already been notified to the competent authorities for investigation.
No money is requested from citizens
The CBC reminds that it never asks for direct payment of money from individual citizens or businesses. He emphasizes that citizens should be especially careful and not respond to such requests.
Recommendation to the public
In case someone receives such a document, they are invited to contact the Cyprus Police immediately and inform the Central Bank of Cyprus.
