Three fires that broke out in the province of Paphos on Saturday night were brought under control.
Specifically, a fire broke out on Saturday night near the community of Akoursou, according to a post on platform X by the Spokesperson of the Fire Service, Andreas Kettis.
Two fire trucks of the Department of Forests assisted in extinguishing the fire. The fire broke out in an inaccessible area, burning dry grass, wild vegetation and trees.
In addition, Mr. Kettis states that a fire was brought under control in the community of Choletria, which also broke out on Saturday. A fire truck assisted in extinguishing it.
The fire that was extinguished immediately burned dry grass and wild vegetation with an area of about four decaries.
In addition, a fire in waste materials in abandoned apartments broke out on the first floor of a complex, in Kato Paphos. The fire was immediately brought under control by the intervention of the members of the P.Y. by entering the premises and using breathing apparatus and water pipes.
