The Pattichion Municipal Theatre of Limassol, in collaboration with Channel 6, present the 2nd Rebetiko Song Festival.
The 2nd Rebetiko Song Festival is an event to honour one of the most authentic and timeless genres of Greek musical tradition by offering the audience two evenings full of sounds, melodies and stories that have written their own page in Greek music. This is a unique cultural event that highlights and honours the rebetiko song — a living part of Greek cultural heritage and at the same time a bridge that unites the peoples of the Mediterranean. The event aims to establish itself as an institution for our city, highlighting the importance of rebetiko as a cultural asset and bringing the audience into direct contact with great artists from Cyprus and Greece. The stage will feature beloved classic rebetiko, as well as modern interpretations that keep the tradition alive and develop it.
