Patrice Taylor is a seasoned talent new to the Cyprus Jazz Scene and certain to capture your attention. She honed her craft as a jazz singer at venues across the UK including the Café’ Royal – London, The Cambridge Arts Theatre, UK national tours and national TV appearances. She is originally from the USA, growing up in a musical family where her mother and father were regulars on CBS Radio Miami in the 1940’s as a popular duet. So, it’s easy to see how the performance bug caught Patrice early in life. Patrice’s vocal dexterity ranges from intense French ballads to the swinging delivery of jazz standards. She can also surprise you with a jazzy rock n roll number and then bring you back down with a sensitive poetic art song. Her incredible versatility allows her to find the heart of a musical style from the plaintive cries of the blues to the lyrical demands of jazz improvisation.
